Meet the Leadership
James Fazio is the founder and President of Uganda Ministries and is also a founding member and Director of the Uganda School of Bible NGO in Uganda. James also serves as the Academic Dean of Bible and Theology at Southern California Seminary in addition to teaching courses in biblical studies, theology, and apologetics. Together with his wife, Amy, James sensed a strong call on their family to travel to Uganda and served the indigenous Christian churches in the more remote regions of the country. They were confronted with the reality that nearly all Christian and otherwise charitable efforts were concentrated in Kampala and a handful of other major cities, leaving the more remote regions largely overlooked. Since their first visit to Uganda in 2007, James and Amy have been involved with training indigenous pastors in East Africa, and have since founded Uganda Ministries to more effectively carry out their calling. James and Amy have been married since 1997 and have four children together.
Onesmus Ngoboka is a Ugandan servant of God and cofounder of Uganda Ministries who has moved to the Rukungiri District to serve in the building up of the Church in Southwest Uganda. With a degree in mass-communications, Pastor Onesmus has turned down countless opportunities that most Ugandans would never even dream of being offered, in exchange for fulfilling the goal of equipping the Church of Jesus Christ according to God’s Word. Moreover, his wife, Betty has a special burden for attending to the needs of orphans in Uganda. In 2011 Onesmus was brought to the United States on scholarship, awarded by Shadow Mountain Community Church, in order to complete his graduate program at Southern California Seminary where he has earned his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and his Master of Divinity. Onesmus will return to Rukungiri, Uganda in 2015 to his family and to God’s Embassy, the church where he serves as lead Pastor.
